“Unresolved Desires”, an Afternoon of Wagner Scenes

On October 21st, emerging singers from the Wagner Intensive at Baldwin University are performing scenes from Wagner operas, presented by Analog Arts!

The performances will be held at The Church of Christ and St. Stephen, 120 West 69th Street in New York City.

The singers are all highly regarded Wagner interpreters and it will be a treat to have them for an afternoon of music.

The singers are:

  • Jennifer D. Behnke, soprano
  • Christina Carr, mezzo-soprano
  • Caleb Stokes, tenor
  • Jeremy Irland, baritone

The performance will be led by Maestro Wilson Southerland, making his New York City conducting debut, with Mary Pinto accompanying on the piano.

The exciting program with scenes from Tannhuaser, Lohengrin, and Die Walkure includes:

Part I
Die Walküre – Act 1 Scene 3 – Jennifer Behnke, Sieglinde and Caleb Stokes, Siegmund
Die Walküre – Act 2 Scene 1 – Christina Carr, Fricka and Jeremy Irland, Wotan
