This just in via the Metropolitan Opera’s Twitter:
“In this season’s performances of MARIA STUARDA, Leicester will be sung by Matthew Polenzani, replacing Francesco Meli #castchange“
He will be replacing tenor Francesco Meli who was originally scheduled to sing the role. The cast list on the website has been updated and I think this would be his role debut.

I look forward to your review of “The Tempest” on October 23!
Thank you! While I won’t be seeing it live, I will listen and review it on the radio. Thanks again!
